About SKINTELLAGENT: Dermatology Undressed
MISSION
SKINTELLAGENT: Dermatology Undressed is a nonprofit educational media organization that creates accessible, evidence-based content to demonstrate the connection between skin findings and internal health, reduce stigma around skin conditions, and advance dermatology education for both the public and healthcare professionals.
MEDIA OVERVIEW
At the core of this work is the development and distribution of accessible educational resources, including our signature docuseries that highlights real stories where dermatologic findings lead to critical diagnoses. These programs are designed to educate and captivate the public, while also offering healthcare providers additional insights into recognizing skin signs that may point to underlying internal disease. Beyond the publicly available, free educational docuseries, SKINTELLAGENT advances its mission through other public education efforts, including podcasts, and social media outreach programming.
LEADERSHIP & SPONSORSHIP
SKINTELLAGENT was founded by Dr. Lindsay Ackerman, a board-certified dermatologist nationally recognized for her expertise in complex medical dermatology. SKINTELLAGENT is led by a Board of eight individuals with diverse professional backgrounds in medicine, business and finance, ethics and religious leadership, and communications and social media, all of whom have dedicated many hours of their lives to service in their communities. All the programs and work of SKINTELLAGENT are focused solely on serving the nonprofit’s mission of education with the ultimate purpose of aiding in more rapid diagnosis of disease, reducing healthcare costs, and saving lives. Every resource developed, every donation received, and every program launched by SKINTELLAGENT is directed toward creating measurable public benefit through education, community outreach, and raising awareness of the critical value of understanding abnormal skin findings.
By supporting SKINTELLAGENT, you are helping to educate the public and medical professionals about the critical role an abnormal skin finding can play in leading to earlier diagnoses of underlying disease, reducing healthcare costs, and resulting in better outcomes for patients everywhere.
Strengthening Education through Awareness
Skin disease presents in various forms, and with a variety of consequences.
All too often, the public impression is that dermatology pertains to the superficial and relatively medically unimportant, or is limited to aesthetic enhancement.
In complex medical dermatology, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
